4 Bedroom Apartment in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise

The apartment offers 4 bedrooms of which 3 are located under the sloping roof. Also located on this level is a bathroom with a sink and a shower/bath and a separated WC. All beds are provided with a hotel-quality mattress, pillow and duvet. The rooms are spacious enough to put your clothes, personal belongings and if needed, a small bed for a baby.
The 4th sleeping room is located on the level where you enter the apartment. This room has a bunk bed and its own shower. Opposite this room there is the second (separate) WC. You will also find here the living with the open kitchen and a big dining table, which sits 8 to 9. The fire place and the balcony, where you can enjoy the winter sun, makes the apartment complete.
The kitchen is provided with a dishwasser, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator with 3 freezer trays and an electric stove. A water boiler and a coffee machine (Senseo) is available as well as general kitchenware.

The apartment 'Sous les Tuiles' is a two-level apartment, part of the apartment complex 'Hameau des Neiges'. It is located at a height of 1.550 m', driving 2 corners after the centre of Sainte Foy Station. The complex houses eight apartments in different sizes and with their individual style. Sous les Tuiles is the highest located apartment, there for 'living under the tiles' or in French 'Sous les Tuiles'.
From the apartment you can view the first chairlift that brings you to Plan Bois; the start of the ski slopes is on 50 m' from the entrance of the building. The skiing area of Sainte Foy is very child friendly.
The centre of Sainte Foy has a small supermarket to get your daily groceries and local specialities; in the bakery you can buy your fresh French bread. For a paper you go to the news agency close to the ski school.
Active & relaxing in winter: Off course Sainte Foy is attractive for its skiing and snowboarding (on and off piste), but there are more snow activities. A small summary of the possibilities:
• Snow shoe (raquettes) walking - 5 signed tracks are available;
• Telemark skiing - you can rent these skis for a day to try it out;
• Sledging after 16.30 in the village;
• Snow seater - to take up to the pistes;
• Exercise your back- and front flips on a big black 'pillow';
• A dog sledge tour;
• Special off piste tours with a guide of the Ecole Ski de France or a private ski-teacher.
The centre of Sainte Foy has several restaurants and bars, different in pricing and atmosphere. They all offer hospitality and are setup to match the authenric village. The tourist bureau organises constantly different activities for which you can enrol. Visit the 'Bureau du Tourism', located at Sainte Foy next to the stairway that connects the wooden deck and the level lower.
Warm days & cool nights in summer: Sainte Foy is getting more and more prepared for an active summer holiday. In and from the centre of Sainte Foy a number of possibilities are offered:
• marked walking trails - for example to 'le Monal';
• small water places to play;
• play facilities for younger kids;
• sport competitions for kids (primary school);
• guided walking tours with explanation on flora and fauna;
• climbing Col d'Iseran or the Petit Bernard to italy on an bike;

• great area to take several 'cols' by motorbike (Col d'Iseran, Col Petite Bernard, Col de la Madeleine)

Summary: Saskia and Maarten's property is in a great location, close to the slopes and the main lift. Very easy to get to ski school in the morning. All communication was great with lots of helpful information. We were a group of 5 (3 adults, 2 children) and the apartment had everything we needed - comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, cosy seating area with fabulous fireplace. We had a really great stay - thank you for trusting us with your home!

Summary: Sainte Foy is a family friendly ski resort. Marteen and Saskia's apartment is very comfy, well decorated with a high equipment. The fire place in the living room is appreciable, especially when it's snowing outside! It gives you right away a cozy atmosphere. Perfect location, close to shops and pistes. Summary: We (family of five) stayed in Saskia and Maarten’s appartment for over a week, and had a great time. It’s only a few steps to the slopes, and a short walk to the village shops (bakery, ski rental, supermarket etc). The appartment itself has a nice size, well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The owners were very easy to communicate with, and were very helpful. Definitely a place to return to!

Summary: It was the 1st time to go to Saint Foy Tarentaise. We were two families (8 + 1 baby) staying in this chalet apartment. It is very conveniently located : for accessing the pistes and the station centre. The chalet was extremely comfortable, spacious, clean, and perfectly furnished and organised to make you feel easily « at home » Saskia was always helpful and welcoming in her correspondence. Thank you We absolutely loved it and we are already looking forward to coming back...

Summary: We were two families staying in this lovely chalet apartment. Very convenient for the pistes and the station centre, helped by the lifts in the building and access through the garage. The web site and listing on owners direct and home and away sites enabled us to plan the stay well, and amenities were exactly as listed. The chalet was extremely comfortable, and clean, with amenities to make a stay with children a breeze. We absolutely loved it. Saskia was helpful and welcoming in her correspondence and gave us all the info we needed. We have already re-booked.

Summary: Many thanks for the use of your apartment. It was very comfortable, it had everything we needed and was in a great location. We loved the resort of Sainte-Foy Station and we have all said that we'd like to go back there again. We had two big dumps of snow so there was some lovely powder on the slopes and the off-piste areas were great fun. And we never had to wait more than a few minutes for the lift which is amazing for the week that we went (the UK school holidays).

Summary: For the second year we rent this apartment in Sainte Foy. And once again, we had a great time. Of course, the good weather conditions help : snow and sun. But, the apartment is very well equipped and we feel quickly as at home. As it is big enough for two families, it would be good to have two parking spots, but it is not a major inconvenient as there are some free parkings in the station.

Summary: We (2 families with 2 kids each) stayed for 1 week in the apartment "Sous les tuiles" in Sainte-Foy and had a very pleasant stay. The apartment is cosy and very well equipped. It's big enough for 8 persons without being tight as in classic ski apartments. We can relax admiring the view on the mountains from the sunny terrasse or in front of the fireplace.. Beds are big and good, and Saskia is very helpful when needed, even at distance. When we'll come back to Sainte-Foy, we'll try for sure to stay there again.

Summary: We spent a week in the apartment "sous les tuiles" and we really enjoyed it because : The apartment is great. It's the first time we can live in such a beautiful and well furnished apartment for ski holidays. Ste Foy is great : we usually go in Val Thorens, wich is the greatest place to ski, but Ste Foy is also great because everything's done for families. We have 3 children and everything is easy in St Foy. The owners are great : they make it easy for us to deal with the apartment, eveything is noticed in a book, simple access...congratulations Saskia! François

Summary: Excellent value Apartment for the high season week in February. As a group of friends the ability to split the beds was useful. Very cosy living area with wonderful views. The log burner was excellent and was stocked with free wood. Contact with the owners via email was excellent and always helpful. We would recommend the apartment to people who want value for money and do not want to pay inflated rental prices. Ste Foy is an excellent base for visiting bigger resorts whilst providing a good selection of blue and red runs. The off piste here is excellent for adventurous intermediates and expert skiers. We would definitely go back
